I don't even know where to start. "
Holy shit!" is a good way to describe how the party went yesterday.
Okay, I had been up since around 6am preparing stuff. I rushed into the city to get more sausages as I was concerned that 24 wouldn't be enough. Turns out it was haha. Like I said, it's better to have more supply than demand :P
I made a heap of my cocktail-onion & cheese skewers, which took me probably an hour to do, and I was wondering why I was bothering because I didn't think they would be very popular. I make them because they look pretty with all the colours and taste pretty good too. Usually I make them with kabana and salami, but I decided to leave it as a vegetarian dish, as I had some stuff but not a lot in case some of my vege-friends showed up. Oh well, the option was there! Turns out I was right. A few people had some though, so that was cool :)
My first guests arrived right on noon. I hadn't seen one of them in a little while, so it was nice to see him and for him to make the effort to attend :) My other friend was nice to pick him up on the way.
We chatted for a little while, then people gradually started to arrive. My bestie arrived with some of his friends, and then many of my gay friends arrived (and let's face it, that's most friends haha), and it was awesome to see them all. A friend had even come up from Melbourne! Some of my friends are reknowned for playing around like the party animals they are haha.
I'd tied a few balloons to the front door, but only one survived haha. Lucky that one did! I left the door open also. I figured why not. That way people could just walk right on in as they arrived.
A lot of the parking around here was taken on account of Stereosonic, but luckily I'm far enough from the showgrounds that it wasn't too much of an issue for people to find parking, yay!
In the back of my mind, I thought about that I hadn't heard from the second guy who bought my Stereosonic ticket, but I did get a message from him saying that he was going to head in later and would be at mine around 3pmish. Ok, we'll see.
So the house was starting to buzz here downstairs, people all talking amongst each other. I think I did well introducing everyone to each other.
It was then when I went to the front door to greet new-arrivals, that my heart stopped. My mum and dad were standing at the front door. Also, my sister and my bro-in-law.
I think I was composed on the outside, but inside I was
frozen.
"A house full of gay guys and my parents in the same room. Oh my GOD." I thought.
Luckily everyone behaved themselves haha. I had the aircon on in the loungeroom, so the doors were closed, and a group of friends were outside at the tables. It was really nice inside, but probably about 32 degrees celcius outside.
My bestie had baked me a cake and some cupcakes that he went to a lot of effort to make. It was SO awesome!! He's such a good bestie. He also brought crunchie rainbow cookies which were yummy. He gave me a pressie from his boyfriend (who couldn't make it). It was a Super Mario shirt! :) It's blue with a lot of colours, so I love it :)
My mum and dad gave me some money and my sister gave me this chocolate mixer, which should work really well with my protein drinks! Such an awesome pressie!
My first female friend arrived and she got me an authentic Versace cologne and wallet. Holy. Shit!
I did have a few messages from various friends who couldn't make it, which was nice, but a shame they couldn't be here. Seems like a sickness was going around! Could be an excuse - I don't really care. Nice of them to let me know.
Everyone was getting along well. Naturally my parents spoke to my sister and bro-in-law, and I was doing my best to try to talk to everyone. It's hard though. I was thankful when my dad took up my offer to help me cook the BBQ. I felt it would have made him feel more included also. I've grown up with dad cooking BBQ's on the farm, so I knew he'd like to do it :) I cut up some onions and brought them out to him. They didn't make me cry either! Score!
With everyone fed, I think all was good again. My mum was nice and came over to me and my chick-friend talking and she asked her what she did for a living. Once again, I gulped. This would be interesting.
She stopped short of announcing her profession, but saying, "I'm a social worker."
My mother stayed quiet. LOL! That conversation pretty much ended there haha. Oh dear. She's not one to hold back, but thankfully she was civil :)
After lunch, my parents said told me they wanted to go for a walk around the area. I had to laugh when my mum asked, 'Is it safe to walk around here?" LOL! I said, "Mum, I've lived here for 5 years and Brisbane for 10, do you see me in a grave yet?" I found it cute though. I've lived here for 5 years, and this is the very first time they have ever visited me at my home. I was so thankful. I actually said to them when they arrived, "I had a feeling you might come because I saw you check in at the Gold Coast yesterday!". Mum then retorted to dad, "I knew we shouldn't have checked in there!". Haha. The Gold Coast is where my older brother lives, and is only a 40 minute drive away.
I had a phone call from my little brother also, which was nice. He was on speaker, so I got all my friends to yell out 'Hi' to him. It was good to hear his voice.
One of my workmates came along, which was awesome! He was the only straight guy here for a while, until another workmate arrived around 5pm. The first workmate had to leave though before a third arrived, so they missed each other, but the second was hanging around. So awesome to have my favourite workmates here.
My bestie lit my birthday cake when my parents got back, and it was the worst timing because that's the same time as when the guy arrived to come and pick up my Stereosonic ticket! So I had to rush outside and meet him, and he told me he'd paid me on Paypal, but I hadn't had an email (stupid phone) so I checked my email and finally confirmed it with him, gave him the ticket to check it was authentic, and wished him a good time. He was SUCH a friendly guy! He shook my hand before and after, and I rushed back into my party in time to see the sparklers being lit :) :)
I just found that my dad did in fact upload the pic he took, so I have one pick of some of the people at my party around midday, but throughout the day there were probably about 25 people or so.
I got a message, from my friend who said she wouldn't miss my party, saying she was sick and wasn't coming. She was meant to be here helping me out when it started! I sent an 'Awww!' message and she must have changed her mind because she then said she'd shower and be over. It was SO good to see her. She was just self-inflicted from getting trashed the night before. The sausages were cold by then, but I'd covered them up and she was happy to have one.
I hadn't heard from one of my best friends at ALL. So annoyed. I'd gone and catered especially for him, all for nothing.
My parents hadn't gone far - only around the block. Probably too far to go anywhere else haha.
My sister was the first to leave, as is usual. I thanked them for coming and chatted for a bit with them outside, as we were talking about family Christmas plans. I said that I'd probably go to my brother's place on Christmas Day on the Gold Coast, but I probably wouldn't go to my grandma's place, and I told them why. They were really interested and supportive in my reasoning, which is that she's the only person who doesn't know I'm gay, due to my parents wishes, and that I just feel completely awkward every time I'm there, given how open I am about it. I said I didn't care if she knew, but my parents do. They agreed. My parents were still inside, so didn't hear the conversation.
My parents left soon after. A few people left throughout the day, and my housemates arrived home and joined in the party. I think there were about 9 people left here. And from here on in, the party started to get really interesting.
I'm trying to explain it all, but it almost seems like such a blur. One of my workmates had brought a 1.25l bottle of Smirnoff, and polished the whole thing off. He got the other drunk also, which doesn't take much, and he was egging me on to drink more also. He always does that. The other workmate gives in easily, but I don't drink much and was happy from the few cruisers I'd provided, and kept refusing, only to be confronted as to why. Replying 'Because I don't
want to' repeatedly, was starting to frustrate me and I noticed myself reclining to him becoming louder and louder. He didn't overdo it though. Luckily the other workmate was still competent enough to distract the other straight guy drunker than him.
it was a shame my first workmate had left and was missing this.
My slutty gay friends weren't helping, and my housemate. Another friend was even worse. All three of them were trying to seduce the drunk straightie. At one stage, I had to pull the other straight guy aside and I said to him, "Just warning you, he is the sluttiest guy I know'. Apparently my friend had said the exact same thing to the drunk guy himself haha!
It became apparent to me that it was getting late, and I needed to get everyone inside, as they were getting a little loud and it was approaching 10pm. My workmate was really nice and helped me get the drunk wrokmate inside and we lifted the couches back into the house.
I'll fast forward.  : One of my friends and my housemate went upstairs, which shocked the HELL out of me. They have hooked up before, so I found out outside when my housemate told me, "I've been with your friend' and when I found out who, I said, 'Who hasn't?' But when they went upstairs again, I didn't get that at ALL. I asked 'WTF?' and he said he was bored. I didn't take it as he was bored of my party, but moreso that he was being a slut. And my friend is a slut, so add two and two together I guess. Lovely. Anyway, I chatted with the others and had opened up the bottle of wine that my workmate had brought me, as I figured if I was gunna be able to handle these two alcoholics, I was gunna need a little somethin'. It was pretty nice too. The name of the wine is called 'Cockfighters', which made me laugh.
As I relaxed a little and a friend was up to no good (he's an ex-Sydney scene queen), my housemate came back downstairs and beckoned me over to him. He then proceeded to tell me that my friend that he had taken upstairs had pissed his pants.
Oh for fuck sakes.
I then had to confront that friend and simply asked him if he wanted to take a shower. My housemate was hiding in my room, out of sight of my friend who came back downstairs looking for him. My friend kept denying anything and that he didn't need a shower. I wasn't getting anywhere. It was when I was confronting my friend, that he laughed and pointed behind me and I turned around to see my drunk workmate's bare ass dancing around. He had pulled his pants right down. Wow what an ass haha.
I walked back in the loungeroom and sat down next to my friend, who had been left along with my sober friend with the two straight boys, who were clearly trashed.
My friend simply said to me, "You're welcome."
I burst out laughing! I said to him, "I need to learn your tricks!" and went back to try and I went over to my sober friend and tell him what had happened with my friend who had pissed himself. I wasn't getting anywhere with him, and when I told my friend the story, he took action. He knows him really well and knew he'd be able to help. I went into my room and got some underwear and shorts that I barely wear, and gave them to him. He eventually got him into the shower and we through his soaked jeans into the washing machine on a rinse cycle. I told him it would be 19 minutes. Of course, him being him, smashed as a parrot, didn't even realise what was going on around him. I mean, how do you not even realise you've pissed yourself? My housemate only found out when he put his hand down his pants, and that's as far as that went.
I don't know what my friend said or did, but next thing I know, the straighties are kissing each other, and then having an awkward three-way kiss with ME, AND I am getting a shirtless lapdance from a very trashed, attractive, drunk workmate. In true form, the followed suit. They encouraged me to lick their muscled bodies also. Wow that was hot! Especially the drunker one. I was kneading his arse through his jeans and everything haha. I think I was in heaven! Haha! I was also VERY fucking thankful that my family and most of my friends had gone home earlier hahaha. My God, could you imagine.
Amazing. I still can't believe that happened. According to them, apparently it was their birthday present to me! Christ almighty.
We eventually convinced my manager to come around. He rang me and told me he had arrived. I had had a few drinks, but I was nowhere near drunk or even tipsy. Just on a high from getting a lapdance from my straight workmates haha. I texted the workmate who had left to let him know what happened hahaha. I got a text back from him laughing and saying, "Truth is out!"
A sober manager arrived and was shocked at how trashed his staff were. The drunker one kept jumping on him and trying to grab him and my manager kept shoving him off. He got some very interesting footage on video on his phone, which he is going to use on my workmates later on in the week haha!!
Work will be interesting tonight. And on Wednesday when the other two are in.
My parents got a really nice photo of me and some of my friends earlier on, and my manager got some nice pics I think, but I haven't seen any yet, so am unable to share them as yet. i hope to! :)
Thanks for reading.
I got messages from both my parents and my sister saying how well they thought I had done and the effort I had gone to. That was nice of them.
My punch was a hit also! I was so happy about that, and I ran out of one ingredient so I couldn't make anymore! I ended up making two batches! AND no-one spiked it - yay!
